Is looking for a skilled
Part time Transitional Support worker
Hours: Rotating schedule, Week One: Fri-Sun 2:30pm-10:30pm. Week Two: Sat-Sun 8:30am-4:30pm
Details: Youth Housing Programs offers safe, supportive housing for youth experiencing addictions and
homelessness. As a member of the Youth Housing Programs team, your primary responsibility will be to provide
youth with the stability and supports necessary and assist them in meeting their goals toward independent living.
Salary: $16.42 per hour plus benefits.

In your role you will:
 Build rapport, supervise and support youth

Help create a safe and welcoming home environment for youth
Empower youth to make positive choices

Capitalize on teachable moments and support youth in developing life skills

Complete regular household duties

Contribute to a team that is constantly working towards quality programming

Navigate crisis and or violent situations
A successful candidate would require:
 Certificate, diploma or degree in the Human Services field; equivalencies will be considered

Previous experience six (6) months working with youth experiencing multiple barriers (poverty,
addictions, mental health, sexual exploitation, criminal records, etc.)

A positive, encouraging and strength based approach

A clean Police Information Record Check and Child Intervention Check
