Network, Toronto (Canada), etc. Co-directors: Mihaela Iacob and Dorel Paraschiv (Eco-Museum
Research Institute, Tulcea), and Alessandro Teatini and Antonio Ibba (Università di Sassari).
Aims: This site based project (2013-2021) aims at a common interdisciplinary research comprising
archaeological prospections as well as the archaeological and historical research of this site dated
mainly to the late Roman antiquity (but also with possible early Roman habitation). Focus on: the
cartography of the site (settlement and cemeteries) and its surroundings by means of aerial and
satellite photography, and electromagnetism; paleo-environmental studies; analysis of the
archaeological, osteological, epigraphic and numismatic material, and comparison with other
contemporary sites in the region. Funded by: Ministerio degli Affari Esteri, Ministerio dell`Istruzione
