2015 E3 Program Recommendation Form (To be completed by applicant’s campus principal, assistant principal, or department head) Overview: The Enrichment Experiences in Engineering (E3) teacher summer research program is hosted at Texas A&M University (http://e3.tamu.edu). It is designed to bring secondary science, mathematics, and career and technical education (CTE) teachers to the A&M campus for a two week summer residential experience where the teachers are mentored by engineering faculty and staff as well as past participants of the E3 program. During their E3 experience, teachers learn about engineering research, gain heightened awareness of engineering career opportunities for their students, and develop an engineering project for implementation in their classroom. It is an intense program with high demands on participating teachers. We seek teachers who excel in the classroom and can serve as a positive influence on their students as they navigate the college/career planning process.
