Exciting Job Opportunity Club Manager East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club (EFLTC) The East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club (EFLTC) operates from the corner of Petra Street and Preston Point Road, East Fremantle, with the entrance off Jerrat Drive. As a result, the Club enjoys sweeping views over the Swan River to the north. The Club has strong working relationships with the Town of East Fremantle, Tennis West & Tennis Australia. The Club has 14 grass courts, and nine hard courts, all in excellent condition. The Club’s premises, leased from the Town of East Fremantle, include Clubrooms with a crèche area and kitchen facility, an alfresco area and BBQ, a Club Bar, an adjacent hall with separate kitchen, a Club Captain’s office (to be upgraded to double as the Manager's office), mens’ and ladies’ toilets with showers, and a separate disabled toilet. The Club participates in Tennis West pennant competitions, at senior & junior levels, both midweek and at weekends, and has active social tennis programs that accommodate all ages and standards. The Club is keen to grow its membership and increase participation in playing, coaching & development tennis programs, particularly at the youth and junior levels. The Club is seeking to appoint a full-time Club Manager who will oversee the tennis activities, management, promotion & administration of the Club. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and proactive approach towards the generation of increased revenue for the Club. We are seeking a person keen to pursue or further progress a career in Sports Club Management. This role could suit a new graduate, with suitable drive and ambition. The role will require the person to adopt a ‘hands on’ approach and be committed to progressing the interests of the Club. It is anticipated that additional revenue could be sourced from increased tennis participation and utilisation of the Club’s facilities, additional sponsorship, the introduction of new activities and services and from the successful application for relevant grants. The position will be under the direction of and be supported by the Club Management SubCommittee. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours that can accommodate the tennis and social activities of the Club. The person will need to effectively engage with Members and other stakeholders. Sound computer skills are required, including an aptitude to use software packages such as MYOB, an ability to maintain the Club website and use social media as part of the Club’s marketing and communication strategies. An interest in tennis would be desirable. Commencing salary will be in the vicinity of $40k, including superannuation and allowances with access to an incentive/bonus scheme. The required working hours are to be negotiated and agreed with the successful applicant when appointed.
