Jim Hertzler is seeking his 2nd term as county commissioner. He currently
serves as vice chairman of the Board of Commissioners
Hertzler previously served 22 years as a township commissioner in East Pennsboro Township, and, before that, six years on the East Pennsboro School Board
Jim serves as the liaison commissioner to the Cumberland County Housing and
Redevelopment Authority boards, the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board, the
Agricultural Land Preservation Board, the Local Emergency Planning Committee,
the Aging Advisory Board, the Harrisburg Area Transportation Study (HATS) coordinating committee, the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, the Capital
Area Transit Authority (CAT), and the Capital Region Council of Governments
Because of his advocacy for responsible state action to reduce homeowner
property taxes, Jim has been appointed chair of the Assessment and Taxation
Committee of the County Commissioners' Association of PA (CCAP)
Married for 43 years, wife Nancy, and the father of three grown daughters,

A life-long, self-employed successful business owner, Rick Rovegno has long
been active in community and public affairs and previously served three terms
as county commissioner
A graduate of Carlisle High School and Shippensburg University, Rick earned
his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance 1978), and is a recipient of the 2011 Jesse Heiges Distinguished Alumnus
award. He has also attended Penn State University where he completed coursework in architectural engineering
Rovegno is a member of the Capital Area Transit Board of Directors; president & executive board member of the Cumberland Conservation Collaborative; a founder, exofficio member and past executive committee chairman of the Interstate 81 Coalition; a past president of the Carlisle Theater Board of Directors; and has previously
served on the Helen Stevens Community Mental Health Center Board of Directors
In his prior service as county commissioner (2000-2011), Rick was commissioner liaison to the Conservation District, the Agricultural Land Preservation Board,
the Cumberland Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission, the Harrisburg Area Transportation Study (HATS) coordinating committee, and the Aging Advisory Board
