Directions for Use
1.
A test patch is ALWAYS required prior to application on new substrates.
2.
Spray, dip, or brush 5656 onto surface to be stripped. Dwell time is dependent upon
temperature and airflow, but expect a maximum of 24 hours for polyester and polyurethane systems. Application temperature MUST be betwen 60°F and Coating thickness
also dictates dwell time.
3.
After film delamination, use a squeegee or high-pressure water spray to remove loosened coatings.
4.
Decals and other decorations may require additional applications of the stripper. In
these cases, ensure that all previously loosened coatings are removed before application.
5.
It is highly recommended that the stripped surface be cleaned with an alkaline material, such as Eaton’s 20/20 within 1 hour of stripper removal.
Precautions
1.
Always use appropriate personal protection equipment when using the product, as it is
acid-activated.
2.
All application equipment must be stainless steel or plastic, such as PVC.
3.
Used material contaminated with paint flakes and organic materials may undergo
pressure buildup from decomposition of peroxide. Paint flakes must be rinsed with
water and soap to remove paint stripper prior to packaging in VENTED CONTAINERS
before disposal. SEE MSDS FOR MORE DETAILS.
