WOMEN IN THE NAVY, BY RATING
Navy officials hope to raise the percentage of women in the Navy, from about 18 percent now to 25
percent within the next decade or so. The chart shows the 10 ratings where the percentage of women
is highest, and the 10 where it is lowest, as of March 31. The rankings do not include special operations
and submarine ratings, which remain closed to women.
