Evidence Based Components for ABA-based Early Intervention Programs
CONNIE KASARI, PhD
Center for Autism Research & Treatment
University of California, Los Angeles
Children with ASD need comprehensive early interventions, and several ABA
models exist that have proven effective. Despite effective models, treatments are
not equally effective with all children. This presentation will discuss several essential
ingredients of early intervention that address the core social communication
deficits of ASD and that may help to move children onto more positive trajectories.
Addressed will be challenges in delivering these components, the effectiveness of
adding components into existing programs, and problem-solving cases that have
stalled despite our best efforts.
The Pre-Conference Symposium will be held at the
Conference Center at the Foundation for Educational Administration
12 Centre Drive, Monroe Township, NJ 08831
