The Ice Cream Academy is thereby touching all aspects from raw materials to the final ice cream. This unique constellation creates possibilities for product development that is far beyond new colours and flavours, where the newest processing technologies meet the best-in-class raw materials and consumables leading to innovative and competent solutions for the ice cream industry. Ice Cream Academy is available to all, and we are here to supply you when required. Our mission is to facilitate knowledge and innovation in order for you to increase your profitability. Product Development Centre (Tetra Pak PDC Ice Cream) At the Tetra Pak Hoyer and Danice Services headquarter in Aarhus the product development centre has been significantly upgraded. News from Danice Publisher: Danice Page 3 of 8 News from Danice Publisher: Danice Page 4 of 8 Besides having the newest processing equipment and technologies for ice cream freezing and forming available, the product development centre has invested in an ice cream mix unit. The Tetra Pak Ice Cream Mix Unit 100 A2 is having a capacity of 100 litres per hour and can practically imitate most mix processes in order to develop and improve the mix process. The mix unit is furthermore equipped with the high-shear mixer Tetra Almix I200200 which would perfectly align most modern industrial mixing setups. Furthermore, the finalised mix can be frozen using different continuous freezers, low temperature freezers and the different ice cream forming techniques including moulding, normal filling and extrusion line, facilitating large synergies for product development and testing of new formulations, raw materials and technologies. The product development centre is now being rebuilt and a new State-of-the-art Innovation Centre is expected to be opened late summer. Here our focus would be to minimise the gap between ideas and products, by combining the knowledge and know-how on consumables, raw materials, formulation and processing equipment in order to generate innovative ice cream products with focus on fast and proven processing technologies. Tetra Pak® Ice Cream Mix Unit 100 A2 Combining a high-shear mixer and the ice cream mix unit in one, product development centre provides you with great opportunities for exploring new raw materials and explore new mix preparation strategies. News from Danice Publisher: Danice Page 5 of 8 Formulation assistance Over the years we have supplied effective assistance on reducing the formulation cost and increasing product quality. With the Ice Cream Academy we will be able to assist you even further on making new formulations and exploring new ingredients. News from Danice Publisher: Danice Page 6 of 8 We have utilised the combined knowledge on raw materials and equipment design to improve our services; and great effort would be placed to assist you to make the right choice based on all variables. The formulation assistance has been extended to include a large number of reference formulations that can be used for inspiration to build new products. Training programmes We have provided highly competent training within ice cream processing equipment for many years but primarily the training has been internally in Tetra Pak. With the Ice Cream Academy, we have the opportunity to provide you not only with training on processing equipment, but also with training on ice cream composition, mix preparation, and processing. The benefit, using the Tetra Pak competences, is that we can supply you with knowledgeable and experienced instructors who have both the right technical and practical onset for the training. Web and E-mail Fraud In recent months, we have seen a worrying increase in e-mail and web-based fraud targeting large multi-national companies like Tetra Pak, as well as their customers and their suppliers. The crime, known as phishing, can be highly deceptive and extremely convincing, with a range of technologies and techniques being used to create an illusion of authenticity through which the criminals then secure illicit payments. We would ask you to stay alert to this issue, and be wary of any communication seeming to originate from our company that requests changes to banking details, payment processes or other finance-related arrangements.
