Join us July 13th-17th as we examine critical middle school concepts and standards and
explore strategies and techniques for transforming the teaching of these concepts to
more closely reflect the habits of mind identified in the Math Practice Standards.
Together with mathematics educators and teacher leaders, you will:

areas of change; including ratios, proportional relationships, statistics, and
probability

(Registration includes morning snack, lunch, and teacher materials)
Extras:
•Certificate of completion for 30 professional development hours in
mathematics will be awarded to teachers who complete the Institute.
•Optional 3.0 Continuing Education Units through UC Extension will be
available for purchase at an additional cost of $130, pending approval.

Registration and Cancellation Policy: I understand that upon submission of this registration, I am
responsible for the full registration fee payment — early discounted fee of $435 due at UCDMP office by
12:00PM on May 28th; $475 after 12:00PM of May 28th; $500 after 12:00PM on June 25th. Cancellations must
be received in writing via email by noon on June 25th and are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 20% of
the registration fee. After June 25th, substitutions are allowed but no refunds will be made. Unpaid no-shows
or late-cancellations will be billed the full registration amount of $475 plus $25 late payment fee. To cancel,
send an email to Thu Pham at [email protected].
All payments (registration or cancellation) or PO must be received by June 25th to avoid a $25 late payment fee.
