Come learn how to grow your own food! We will be planting veggies, starting
seeds, prepping beds and making compost. We will also share in eating food

Banana Slugs will be holding a free film screening of the documentary Cowspiracy.
The film takes a look into the reliability of environmental organizations through

A program all about water conservation! This carnival has crafts, plants, music,
food, and even an obstacle course that are all focused on helping students
and community members visualize how their daily activities consume water in

Join us for this special World Cafe event on April 20th where we connect with
ourselves, each other and nature through guided mindfulness meditation,
yoga, and soul centric poetry. As usual we will have food, tea, and meaningful

The Earth Summit is a space for the campus community to come together and
celebrate campus sustainability. The theme is a fusion of activism and art, with
a focus on increasing communication and community problem-solving. Student

[SUSTAINABLE FOOD CHOICE FAIR ]
5:00 - 7:00 P.M. COLLEGE EIGHT UPPER FIELD
The Food Fight Forum highlights the power of choice by examining different
perspectives. Students across campus are invited to participate in a space that
aims to discuss various topics of sustainability in regards to food. The topic we
want to focus on is “What Does It Mean to Eat?” Addressing the social and
environmental impacts of the food systems. With the guidance of experts in
the field, this event aims to spark questions about our relation to food and
understand ways of improvement. College Eight [email protected]
The Sustainable Food Choice Fair highlights the idea of food choices and their
impact on the environment. Through interactive stations we hope to highlight
the themes mentioned earlier in these stations where students can participate
in activities that relate to real life issues and decisions. The goal is to create an
environment that is engaging and allows students to discover new ideas about

UCSC’S FIRST ANNUAL CAMPUS CLEAN UP DAY

beautiful campus, shed light on littering issues and improper cigarette butt
