During this past winter, we accomplished numerous renova on projects on the golf course just in me for the golf season. This is an op mum me to recruit new members to our Club family. I encourage you to “talk up” the Club at every occasion and to invite, colleagues, friends, and other family members to join up. We have a great Club with updated areas of the clubhouse, the best dining around, and the nicest golf course along with a warm and welcoming membership. All this makes for an a rac ve environment for like‐minded people to be together. Would you help us grow our Club? We encourage and sincerely appreciate your input, sugges ons, and comments because they do make a difference. Happy Easter! Woody PAGE

Women’s Golf Association News
The objec ve for the Women’s Gold Associa on this year and every year is “to develop golf, sportsmanship, and friendship among women golfers.” This is not a challenge for our group as we have developed within ourselves and partnered with other lady golfers both locally and other clubs. We have been taught the true meaning of good sportsmanship. We have become friends with so many across the state. When we arrive at other tournaments we are welcomed. We look forward to seeing the same friends when they come to El Dorado Gold and Country Club. The above having been said, we host the first 2015 ABCD Scramble of the year on Aprils 21st. Lady golfers playing from other clubs will be the Camden Golf and Country Club, Fordyce Golf and Country Club, Pine Bluff Hills Golf and Country Club (Smackover), DeGray Golf Course, and other players from Mon cello Golf Course, Lions Club El Dorado and Mys c Creek Course. Our excep onal Golf Professional, Will, establishes teams. Jaunita Pyle, Social Chairperson, will work with the Country Club’s Hostess and decide on food being served for a Con nental Breakfast at 9:00, tee me at 10:00, and lunch a er play. If you are a golfer and a member of the El Dorado Golf and Country Club let us know and sign up! Entry fee a minimal $40.00. The Women’s Golf Associa on golfer for the month of April is Peggy McLarty. She re red from Milam Corpora on as Controller with a huge re rement gi of golf clubs from her boss, John Milam! She began playing o en and became an ac ve member of the WGA. Peggy has served as Treasurer, Tournament Chairperson and President. (There could be other posi ons that she served, but these are the ones that I can remember.) She celebrated her honorary membership in February and con nues to be a vital asset to the organiza on. Currently, Peggy is serving as the Prize Chairperson. We are a very lucky group to have Peggy McLarty on board! We are golfing in April! Margaret Marsh, President Welcome Spring !

We have been working on several golf course projects this winter, and the work is really starting to take shape
and look great! Please avoid these areas while they are being worked on for your safety. For any information or details
on some of the other projects we will be working on this spring please do not hesitate to ask myself, or our general
manager.
A reminder to our golfers please try to keep the golf carts on the paths around the tee boxes and greens, fill your
divots, and fix your ball marks to help us keep the golf course in good playing condition throughout the year.
Thank You! April 2015
Wine of the Month
Tohu, Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc,
Marlborough, New Zealand
Passionfruit, citrus, and ripe summer fruits are abundant on the
nose, while the complex and layered palate exhibits fresh fruit,
herbal notes and a distinctive minerality. Bright acidity is
perfectly balanced by concentrated ripe fruit and fresh green
herbaceous flavors, all seamlessly leading to a long and dry
finish.
