Last coding club meeting for term 1 in L2 at lunchtime Monday 30 March. We will have a 5 minute
discussion about competitions and programming language we will use for term 2. In term 2 we will
meet every second week, Monday odd weeks (weeks 1,3,5,7,9) and Wednesday's even weeks
(weeks 2,4,6,8 and 10) for help and to answer questions while you continue to work through the
tutorial style online work.

TOUCH TYPING LESSONS – Term 2
In line with the extension of BYOD we are again offering all students, their parents, siblings and
friends the opportunity to learn to touch type with Jan Morris of Computer Success. Jan is a very
experienced practitioner and a qualified secondary school teacher who now has her own business.
She runs similar courses at numerous schools in central Auckland.
The typing course will run for six Tuesday afternoons starting on Tuesday 5 May, 3.30-5 pm, in the
school computer lab L1. The dates are 5, 12, 19, 26 May, 9,16 June.
The cost is $110 and enrolments are on a first-pay basis. To enrol and get payment details please

U15 Trials on the friday 27th cancelled. You will now only be trialling on the last day of term Thursday

Hockey Umpiring

Auckland Secondary Schools Hockey Association are looking for girls who are interested in becoming
hockey umpires - you do not need to have umpired before. An experienced umpire will coach and
mentor girls on a Monday or Tuesday night, where trainees will umpire the Under 15 grade games.
Once trainees have reached a reasonable standard there is an opportunity to be reimbursed for
umpiring secondary school games. Please come to the Sports Office to collect a registration forms.
Registration forms are also available for those girls who have previously umpired and would like to
continue with this important role.
