How to get to Chicoutimi
FLYING TO QUEBEC CITY

towards Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) at a low price (approximatively $46).
Please take note that the number of tickets is limited for each departure. Our staff member will be welcoming you
at the airport before departure (Domestic flights arrival zone).

FLYING TO BAGOTVILLE
BY CAR
There are many daily flights from Dorval YUL (Montreal)
airport to Bagotville YBG (Chicoutimi) airport. It is a onehour flight.

Students choosing this option will either have to take a
taxi (approx. $20) or take the public transport to get to
the university. Staff members will be welcoming you at
the airport.
Car travel is also a good way of coming to Chicoutimi. The
trip could take a little less time than by bus. Clearly, you
would have considerably more freedom in getting around
throughout the duration of your program.
Should you decide to come to Chicoutimi by car, upon
arrival, please go to the main building (Pavillon principal) of
the University at the welcoming hours (from 1:00 to 10:00
p.m.) on arrival day.
It is very important that you let us know that you are
coming by car prior to your departure.
BY BUS
FROM QUEBEC CITY

du Palais”, 320, rue Abraham-Martin, Quebec City. Length of trip (Quebec City-Chicoutimi): 2 ½ hours.

FROM MONTREAL
There are five (5) daily departures from Montreal to Chicoutimi. All departures are from the Autobus Voyageur Terminal
505, boulevard de Maisonneuve, (Métro Berri-UQAM, Montreal). Length of trip (Montreal-Chicoutimi): 5 ½ hours.

UPON ARRIVAL WE TAKE CARE OF YOU
During welcoming hours, from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m., on the official starting date of the Spring program, Monday,
May 18, 2015, our staff members will be present at the Centre Social of the university to greet you.
IMPORTANT : On official welcoming day, students arriving after 10:00 p.m. will be responsible for finding their
