financial and emotional side effects of breast cancer treatment, partnering in a patient’s journey towards
recovery and healing. You can provide invaluable support to breast cancer patients like Nicole. Nicole recently
wrote to us stating:
“I cannot thank you enough for your help. The timing of receiving the grocery story gift cards could not
have been better. I had no money for groceries because I had to pay for a medication that was not
covered by insurance. I didn’t know how I was going to feed my daughter, which is the worst feeling
ever – even worse than when I found out that I had cancer. Then, the mail arrived and there were the
grocery store gift cards!
My worries about how I was going to pay for groceries and whether I could afford for my daughter
Avery to continue in her pre-school program have been alleviated because of you. This has allowed me
to take that energy and put it towards healing and getting better. I know, without a doubt, that Avery
and I are in a better place because of you. You are my angel!”

We would be honored to showcase our collaboration to the sponsors and guests of our 9th Annual Kelley for Ellie
Fashion Show on June 8, 2015. Former WCVB-TV Channel 5 News Anchor Susan Wornick created Kelley for Ellie 9
years ago to honor colleague Kelley Tuthill’s courageous fight against breast cancer and to support the Ellie
Fund’s mission. Since the event’s inception, the Ellie Fund has grown from helping 50 breast cancer patients to
over 700 each year. Our annual event has also grown to become one of the most sought after event tickets,
selling out well in advance each year with more than 350 guests.
Hosted in conjunction with WCVB, the event will feature fabulous wines and gourmet hors d’oeuvres, an
exciting live auction and fashion show introducing the new summer looks from Neiman Marcus Boston modeled
by the newswomen of WCVB with makeup and hair styling by Charles David Salons & Spas.
Proceeds from the event will support the Ellie Fund’s mission to provide essential support services to breast
cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on recovery, family and healing.
