Breed ID, and a current ARBA “Book of Standards” to each competition. Please place card on
Breed ID rabbit carrier. It must include the following identifying Breed, show room variety and
registration variety. If you are unable to provide a full class, please contact the host county

class.
4. There will be a written test worth 50 points. The Rabbit breeds to be tested on are Giant
Angora, Florida White, Havana, French Lop, Mini Satin, New Zealand, and Silver Fox.
The Cavy breeds to be tested on are Abyssinian Satin and Texel. All scoring will be done by
the Hormel system. the top three scores will be used to tabulate the team points. The low
score will be dropped for the team points.
5. Oral reasons will be given on one class of rabbits. You’ll have 10 minutes to study and 2
minutes to give your oral reasons to the judge. Take your Hormel card with you and give it to
the judge before you give your oral reasons. You will not be allowed to take notes into the oral
reasons area with you. Please do not write notes on the back of your oral reasons card. If you
take notes in with you, you will receive a ZERO ON YOUR ORALS. (You will be given a blank
piece of paper to write your notes on but this paper must not be taken in to the orals area with
you.)
6. For the oral introduction the contestant should give their name, county, contestant number,
and age division they are judging in (Jr. or Sr.). This information should, also, be given in the
closing.
7. Orals will be given in this order: from the 4th place animal to the 1st place animal; not 1st to
4th place.

the class.

contestants..
