Train the Trainer In Measurement for Improvement All improvements require a change, but not all changes are improvements. Applying rigorous measurement to an improvement project is essential. The “7 Steps to Measurement” is a road map used to ensure improvements can be evidenced. Led by: Matt Tite Aims: • Application of the Pareto Principle This practical workshop will allow delegates to understand how to do NHS improvement through exploring existing improvement methodologies. • Application of Statistical Process Control This session will focus on the maths needed within improvement, and compare this to the research maths that are often used. • Application of Return on Investment Building upon the Donabedian Model of Outcome, process and balancing measures, the session will explore how to demonstrate a strong baseline (before any change), then understand how to demonstrate improvement. Finally, converting this into a calculation for understanding any Return on Investments (ROI). Health Education East Midlands. Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, NG11 6JS 8th June 2015 - 9.30am to 1pm.
