The Newport™ HT70 Plus Ventilator is designed with EMS providers in mind.
The user-friendly touch screen can be set to “Transport” mode and offers
Paramedics both pre-set and customized settings for ventilation, BiPAP and
CPAP in one device.
EMS-Friendly
Choose from transport, hospital or basic modes depending on the level of
care being provided. Hospital mode provides full access to all screens while
transport mode provides essential monitoring, alarms and setting parameters.
In basic mode, the screens are simplified and user access is limited. Customer
parameters can be programmed allowing paramedics, respiratory therapists,
nurses, physicians and home healthcare providers to utilize the ventilator
settings they are accustomed to.

Efficient
Covidien’s patented dual micro-piston system is designed for minimal energy
consumption and minimal use of supplemental oxygen. This translates to a
highly-efficient system that can operate up to 10 hours on a single charge using
less oxygen and allowing more effective air-intake filtration.
Making Precious Minutes Count™
Invasive and Noninvasive Modes
The Newport HT70 Plus Ventilator provides invasive and noninvasive (NIV)
ventilation, and CPAP and BPAP-style breath support, allowing a diversity of
options in long or short transports and in a range of care settings. Peep can be

Portable
The hot-swappable Power Pac provides up to 10 hours of battery time. An
internal backup battery provides up to an additional 30 minutes.
Intuitive Design
The Newport HT70 Plus Ventilator is designed to be intuitive for effective and
efficient usability.
• Monitoring, ventilation parameters and alarms on the touch screen are color
coded for quick recognition: green for parameters, red for alarms and yellow
for monitoring.
• LED lights in the handle provide a quick visual indicator for the care provider.
A green breath indicator flashes with the delivery of each breath while yellow
and red LEDs indicate alarms.
• Alarms and messages are prominently displayed along with a battery charge
level indicator.
• Oxygen cylinder use-time is calculated based on tank size and pressure.
• Cancel and accept queues are incorporated for added security.
• Central access to breathing circuit and flow sensor connections promote
simplified setup and maintenance.
Adaptable Oxygen Sources
With a high-pressure oxygen source, like a 50 PSI DISS, and the air/oxygen
mixer, 100% FiO2 can be delivered with each breath. Or, filtered ambient air can
be utilized when oxygen sources are depleted or unavailable.
Versatile
The Newport HT70 Plus Ventilator isFDA approved for ambulance transport, air
transport, hospital, long-term care and homecare.
Compatible
Non-proprietary patient circuit uses standard 15mm/22mm ID circuits. While
it is necessary to use a good-quality circuit and exhalation valve, a number of
standard circuits can be used.
Emergency Preparedness
When naturally occurring, accidental, or deliberate incidents arise at pandemic
levels, a proper supply of ventilators is an essential component to a successful
response. The Newport HT70 Plus Ventilator is at the forefront of technology
and offers emergency responders with innovative options like hot-swappable
batteries, marine battery compatibility and default presets for infants, pediatrics
and adults. Non-proprietary patient circuits further support access to supplies in
mass-casualty settings.
