Safety Newsletter Volume 19 - April 2015 For employee safety-employees are not to lift more than 50 pounds by themselves. Anything over 50# needing to be handled must be done by team lift (50# per employee limit) OR by mechanical means (pallet jack, forklift, overhead crane, etc.) Safety Moment Many of us are faced with stress everyday. Stress can have a negative effect on a person’s health, mentally and physically. Take deep breaths to help relax and try to get more sleep at night. Also, eating properly and making time for exercise can help reduce your stress level. Adding a little laughter to your day can go a long way in recharging the spirit. Learn how to tackle stress before it paralyzes you and focus on the positive things in your life. These reports are our way to correct issues that could potentially lead to a dangerous situation or tragic event for you or your co-workers. We encourage you to participate. We are currently looking into rolling platforms. The floor drain project has been approved & hopefully will be completed by the end of May, 2015. Texting and cell phone use behind the wheel significantly increases a driver’s risk of crashing. Minimize distractions before getting behind the wheel and remain focused on the road ahead.
