Harper Wednesday 18th March 2015 Cluster Cross-Country Event Friday 17th April, 2015, 9.30am – 11.30am Askrigg Primary School Dear Parents and families, Our key stage two children will be taking part in the cluster cross country event on the above date. The Y3/4 children will run round a marked track in the playing field and the Y5/6 children will run an authentic crosscountry trail outside the school grounds. The event will be very well-marshalled and we have organised for the local police to be present. Also, National Parks Rangers will be closing the road to ensure safe crossing at Breconbar. Children will need the following clothing:  Full PE kit (please no multi-coloured shirts, football shirts or similar). Children are representing their school and it is therefore important to do so by wearing appropriate uniform PE kit.  Suitable running shoes (not pumps or school shoes).  Uniform hoodies (if the children have them).  Warm coats and over-trousers for waiting for the event. It would be great to see parents there to support the children, so if you can make it please do come along. Tracey and Tony Lambert are organising the logistics and marshalling of the event and would love for parents to help by volunteering to marshal on the day. This is not onerous task and involves manning a stile or gate en-route and guiding children in the right direction. You will also be provided with a guidance pack. Please indicate below if you are able to do this and arrive promptly for a briefing at 9.30am on the morning of the event. Thank you.
