Brian Inge, CEO and a co-founder of Quality Tire in Woodbridge, Va along with partner and brother Jeff Inge have been in business over 20 years lacing up anything you want in regards to rims, tires, and any car customization needs here in the DC area. Starting out in 1986 selling used tires out their house, Brian and Jeff have branched out and diversified into a complete custom auto shop for those who want to standout to local celebs such as former and current Wizards players Jarvis Hayes, Gilbert Arenas, Redskins Jason Taylor and Jason Campbell. After moving into a small shop in Woodbridge, Va in 1991, the Inge brothers business grew exponentially by word of mouth. “Our business was mainly referrals from military contacts but the key was we knew our products and the proper applications to recommend to our clients, says Brian.” Brian goes on to mention that the custom wheel market is huge but problems exist because of ignorance and misinformation. Clients seeking the right wheels and tires are uneducated about what it takes to make both work in the proper fashion. The result is shops do poor jobs with fits and applications and sometimes he has to fix someone else’s work. It all started back in 2000 with Redskins Daryl Pounds and Marcus Patton. “They were the first.” Brian goes on to say former Wizards guard Jarvis Hayes was referred to him a few years ago and until he moved on to another team was a steady customer. “We did at least 3 or 4 of his cars.” Brian mentioned he paid a visit to Hayes’ home to repair a damaged 26 inch wheel on his Rolls Royce Phantom after he ran over a pothole. While the current economic climate has taken it’s toll on many custom shops around the DC area, Brian says his decision to offer a diversification of products and services has helped him. “One of the keys that has helped us is we are good at a lot of things. We’ve been in the wheel business for 20 years and know every fitment, every wheel setup and tire combination down cold. We have a custom window tint shop and have done tint for Jason Taylor’s Ferrari and Gilbert Arenas’ Range Rover.” Brian goes on to mention that many clients make the mistake of buying wheels and tires off the internet without knowing the proper combination. “On the internet all sales are final so you can imagine the client’s reaction when the wheels he spent thousands for aren’t right,” says Brian. “For certain cars, especially high end cars, you need a shop like mine to custom fit your wheels. You just can’t buy off the internet for all cars.” Brian says they can do all wheels including high end Asanti’s, Giovanni’s, you name it.
