Getting Started
How do I get BBM on my Android or iPhone?
Visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone,
BBM.com will detect that you do not have BBM installed
and will initiate the download from either Google Play
or Apple App Store.
Once downloaded, you will be required to sign up for
a BlackBerry ID (or use an existing BlackBerry ID if you
already have one).
Get your unique PIN. BBM uses PINs instead of phone
numbers or email addresses so that it’s more private,
and you always control who can contact you.

You can change the sound for BBM in your device settings.
For example, you can change the volume and tone or select
options like Vibrate or Silent.

How do I create a BBM group?
Plan events, track to-do lists, share pictures, and chat with
up to 30 people in one group at the same time. For example,
you can make decisions and confirm your plans in the
group chat and then create an appointment that everyone
in the group can see.
Let your contacts know what you’re doing by changing your
BBM name, status, or picture. If you have a status that you
use often, such as a vacation notice, you can save it to use
again later.

What emoticons can I use?
BBM includes different emoticons that you can use in your
chats and status updates. You can type a 2-digit country
code in asterisks to add a flag icon to your message, such
as typing *CA* to add a Canadian flag.

webpages. Your contacts might not be able to see emojis
that you copy and paste from a website into BBM.
