ROV SKID
The Octopoda ROV skid is designed and developed to reduce
cost in subsea operations related to completion, installation,
maintenance and other activities related to underwater
installations.
Octopoda skid includes a hydraulic operated drawer for
storage and easy connection of all types of hydraulic ROV
tooling (both water based and mineral oil). By certain needs
there is also possible to easy remove the drawer to replace
space for other equipment.
A well-proven, subsea HPU is located in the rear part of the
skid. The compact HPU is designed with a 5-function Valve
Pack that provides flow- and pressure control for tooling by
operating a topside control system (GUI) developed by iCsys.
Octopoda skid is designed and calculated in regards to:

BENEFITS:

Reduced time compare to running hot line reels during
launching and retrieval of umbilical with stab.

Less problems under operations in water with high
currents.

Avoid umbilical from topside to greater depths
(twisting etc.)

Better communication, since ROV is no longer
depending on reel and surface HPU.

Cost saving in regards to demob/mob of equipment.

Cost saving in regards to operational time

Reduce stabilizing time during pressure/barrier testing
