New Taipei Lucky Charm Culture Exhibition
Date: Now until 05/17
Venue: Ding-Jing Hall
There are innumerable large and small temples in Taiwan.
As the custodians of the public souls, temples provide “lucky
charms” to allow the public to pray for continued protection
from the gods. As creative industries are flourishing, many
temples are welcoming modern trends and designing
all kinds of “protective” talismans, but the traditional
“lucky charm” is gradually disappearing. It is hoped the
“lucky charms” hidden in every corner of Taiwan can be
rediscovered. More important is passing them on, and for
them to continue to protect our next generation!
