About
Epoka League: International Football Championship for high schools is a mini football tournament between high schools
in Albania, Balkans, and broader. Sports are good for mind, body, and spirit. Furthermore, sport teams are good for learning
accountability, dedication, and leadership; among many other traits. Putting it all together by endorsing sports activities is a winning
combination. So, we chose football as the region’s most popular sport to encourage young generations to practice physical activity.
The tournament will take place in two phases: the preliminary phase between high schools in Albania and the finals that will be
played at the premises of Epoka University Campus and EuroSport for five days.
The final phase will be held in Tirana, capital of Albania, during April 6th – 10th, 2015, in the premises of Epoka University campus.
In this phase a maximum of 32 teams will be selected through elemination, which will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams. A limited
number of international teams will be accepted based on the number of applicants. The preliminary phase for Albania will be held
during March 9th – 27th, 2015, in some of the biggest cities. The preliminary round for Tirana and Durres will be held at Epoka
University, whereas for the other cities it will be held in the corresponding city. The number of the Albanian teams qualified for the
Final Round will be decided after the registration deadline. The following table shows the dates when the preliminary round will be
held for each city.

Regulation:
1. This regulation determines the rights, obligations and responsibilities of all parties involved in the preparation and organization
of Balkan Football Championship for High Schools.
2. At the beginning of the tournament every team should deliver the list of footballers. The list shall have the signature and seal
of the high school principal. Identification card for every member of the team (Identity Card or Passport). In absence of these
documents the team member will not be allowed to play. In case participation of a player who do not have Identity Card is verified
his team is penalized by losing the match 2-0.
3. Teams should be present at least 30 minutes before the match begins, also they should submit the match protocol to the
organizing committee. In case the team is not present and has not submited the match protocol in time, additional 30 minutes
allowance will be granted to assure present. In case the team does not arrive they will be penalized by losing the match 2-0.
4. The tournament is organized in the bases of group matches with direct elimination. Teams will be divided into groups; each group
consists of 4 teams. 3 points for the winner and 1 point for draw. In case there are two teams in the group with the same point then
direct elimination match will apply. If there is a draw then the team which has the higher score will pass in the next round, and if the
same score applies then the draw lot will be held.

In the second round the 1st and 2nd team of each group will progress. Four team from the 3rd place with high scores in the group
round will also join the 2nd round which will be held with direct elimination. In case of draw there will be penalties.
5. The teams can make unlimited substitutions.
6. The player who takes 3 yellow cards or 1 red card will not be allowed to play in the next match.
7. Team uniforms for each player should have same color.
8. Length of the Match is as below:
Group matches:
20 min each half
Elimination matches:
25 min each half
Semi final and Final matches: 30 min each half
9. Interfere and offense of the referee is prohibited. Otherwise the person will be punished with red card.

10. If there are complaints for irregularity by the teams, the team leader must submit his complain to the organizational committee
no more than 20 min the game has finished. The organizational committee will verify and give its judgment if the there has been or
no violation of the regulation of the tournament.
11. Is prohibited the usage of cleats.
12. The tournament organizers will offer lunch for the participants.
13. Changes or additional rules on this regulation are made only by group composed of persons who participate in the tournament.
