 COMPANY: EVENT: LOCATION: POSITION TITLE: REPORTING TO: TERM: Bruno Event Team 2015 U.S. Senior Open Championship www.2015ussenioropen.com Del Paso Country Club, Sacramento, CA Championship Assistant Brian Flajole, Championship Director January 12, 2015 – July 10, 2015 COMPENSATION: $9/hour, estimated to be 20-­‐‑40 hours a week until April, then 40 hours plus overtime April-­‐‑July OVERVIEW: The 36th U.S. Senior Open to be held June 22-­‐‑28, 2015 at Del Paso Country Club, in Sacramento, CA, will feature a field of 156 of the world’s best professional and amateur senior golfers (over the age of 50). Star players expected to compete include Colin Montgomerie, Fred Couples, Davis Love III, Fred Funk, Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman, Vijay Singh and Tom Watson. This U.S. Senior Open will be the first staged in Northern California. The Championship, conducted by the United States Golf Association, expects to draw 125,000 spectators, 500 worldwide media and 3,000 volunteers. The coverage will be broadcast to more than 50 countries including 16 hours of live coverage on Fox and Fox Sports. JOB SUMMARY: The role of Championship Assistant is to assist the championship staff with their preparations for the event, while being exposed to the different areas of responsibilities of managing a national championship. Marketing, Promotions and Tickets: • Assist with championship program development • Assist with ticket operations and group ticket sales • Assist with marketing partner activation • Assist with management of off-­‐‑site and grass roots promotions (speaking engagements, sporting events, community festivals, trade shows) Volunteers: • Assist with management of player travel information • Assist with securing donated volunteer meals • Assist with volunteer meeting preparation as necessary Operations: • Assist with vendor RFPs • Assist with vendor contracts Corporate Sales & Service: • Assist with communication to corporate supporters • Assist with inventory data • Assist with contract and invoice distribution and tracking • Assist with preparation for corporate workshops • Assist as a client liaison prior to championship ABILITIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Excellent people skills are a must • Highly organized • Self-­‐‑motivated team player • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are mandatory • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed • Bachelor’s degree or degree in progress Please submit resume via e-­‐‑mail to Olivia Twiddy at [email protected] by December 31, 2014.
