"I'm Gary Lenzo, I'm the market president with Century Bank here in Las Cruces. I've been
a partner of MVEDA for probably around ten years now and have spent the last seven
years a a volunteer board member, serving the last two years as board chair. I believe
strongly in the mission of MVEDA; we need economic development to provide good
paying jobs for all of our citizens here in Las Cruces and the Dona Ana County. I'm a big
believer in 'a rising tide lifts all ships' and MVEDA does that; it brings in jobs that help all
of our citizens."
"I'm Kiel Hoffman, I'm the president of Pioneer Bank here in Las Cruces. I'm also
the incoming chairman of the MVEDA Board of Directors. Pioneer Bank has
been a partner with MVEDA for probably six or seven years. The reason our
company belongs and the reason why I want to get involved and be on the
board is because I think that economic development
is the key to growth for Las
developm
Cruces and that makes all businesses do better and I think that the more we
e
give back to our community - and certainly, in economic
development, that's
throu
ugh more and more customers
the way to go - we get it in return someday through
and good growth for the betterment of our comm
community."

“The Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance is singularly focused on attracting and retaining businesses
and companies that bring jobs, capital investments, new tax revenues and overall prosperity and growth to
Dona Ana County. For the third year in a row, MVEDA has exceeded our job creation goals having assisted in the
creation of over 440 new economic-based jobs to the region. These economic-based jobs we help create also
positively impact almost every other industry in the region, whether a restaurant, a grocery store, or a local
vendor at the farmer’s market. New job creation leads to greater spending throughout the local economy. We
thank the hard work and dedication of our Board of Directors as well as our Public and Private Partners for their
tireless commitment to economic development and the positive growth we see throughout Dona Ana County.”

“I had the pleasure of assisting both CyraCom International and Sapphire Energy
in developing their Las Cruces facilities. MVEDA played a vital role in the
decision of each company to locate an expansion facility in Las Cruces. I have
seen an increase in workforce at both companies as their businesses continue to
grow. Although my work with CyraCom and Sapphire has long been complete,
MVEDA are felt everyday as the workforces of both companies
purchase goods and services throughout the community.”
