Discuss Nevada's future plan for NASA EPSCoR and Space Grant programs which will meet faculty/student interests and NSHE NV and NASA science priorities. Provide information on writing competitive NASA proposals and network to form collaborative teams for future proposals. Meeting Summary: The afternoon of Thursday, April 30 will be devoted to faculty and student presentations, providing an overview of recently funded faculty projects and a student poster session/ networking mixer. The focus for Friday, May 1 will be the future of Nevada NASA EPSCoR and Space Grant Consortium programs. Featured plenary presentation will be special guest Dr. Denise Thorsen, director of the Alaska NASA EPSCoR and Space Grant Consortium. There will be breakout sessions in the morning to discuss strategies for increased effectiveness. For faculty, there will be an afternoon workshop by Roger Kreidberg and Dr. Hans Moosmuller on proposal preparation with specifics on competitive proposals to NASA. In addition, breakout sessions will provide an opportunity for development of collaborations and ideas about the future of Nevada NASA EPSCoR and Space Grant programs in Nevada. For students, there will be two afternoon workshops: Proposal/ Scholarship Research and Writing with Carol Brodie and Resume Basics and Interviewing Tips with Erica O’Toole.
