EQALM symposium 2015
8-9 October, Bergen, Norway
General information
This year the annual EQALM symposium and General Assembly will be held in Bergen, Norway. The meeting will take
place at the Grand Hotel Terminus on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October 2015.
The meeting includes the annual Working Group meetings.
The symposium is entitled:
Performance specifications and EQA: turning theory into practice
The symposium includes the following sessions:






Analytical quality specifications
Point of Care testing
Harmonization of units
Contribution of working groups
Presentations of selected submitted abstracts
The Adam Uldall lecture
The Adam Uldall Lecture will be given by Sverre Sandberg (Noklus) and will address the main topic of the symposium.
The Working group meetings will be held from 8:00 to 12.30 on Thursday 8 October. The EQALM Symposium will
start at 13.30 on Thursday 8 October and finish by 16:00 on Friday 9 October. The final program will be presented on
www.eqalm.org.

Abstract session
A special session will be organised for contributions from EQA organisations. Here EQA organisations will have the
opportunity to share EQA-related information which could be of interest to other EQA organisations.
Oral presentation will be selected from the abstracts submitted (max. 500 words). Each EQA member organisation
may submit more than one abstract.
Please submit your abstract using the abstract form which is available from the EQALM website www.eqalm.org.
Abstracts should be submitted before 15st August 2015 and sent to EQALM office ([email protected]).
Note!
Unfortunately, EQALM is not able to cover travel or hotel costs for the speakers to this Abstract session.

Social event details (evening of October 8)
Dinner at Fløien Folkerestaurant at the top of the famous Funicular in Bergen, 320 metres above sea level. The
restaurant, opened in 1925, has been completely restored and is, with its distinctive architecture and prominent
location, without a doubt an attraction. It is a very popular restaurant, not just with tourists, but also among the
locals. The panoramic view over Bergen, the islands and the North Sea is amazing! Sunset and twilight hours is a very
special memory...
