Dubai to host record breaking Dream Jump attempt at Princess Tower
Skydive Dubai to support the first Dream Jump initiative outside of Europe
Dubai, 29 March, 2015 – Skydive Dubai in association with Never Before Events have
announced plans to introduce the revolutionary 'Dream Jump’ experience to Dubai. Dream
Jump Dubai, a part of ‘Dream Walker Around the World in 80 Jumps’ expedition, is the first such
event outside of Europe, and will break records and introduce fans to this one of a kind
experience.
To be held between the 13th and 19th April, 2015, Skydive Dubai athletes will join Dream
Jumpers as they take the plunge from 400 meters above sea level, on the 99th floor of the
iconic Princess Tower in Dubai Marina. Announcing Skydive Dubai’s sponsorship of the world’s
biggest Dream Jump event was, His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, Chairman of Skydive Dubai and
President of the UAE Aerosports Federation; Zarir Saifuddin, partner at Never Before Events and
founder of the Middle East Extreme Sports Expo; and Thomas Zielinski, the founder of the Dream
Jump initiative.
“Our athletes have consistently broken records because of their adventurous and thrill-seeking
spirit. That is why, we are extremely thrilled to host the largest edition of Dream Jump in Dubai”
says H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, Chairman of Skydive Dubai. “With a jump height of 400 meters,
Dream Jump Dubai will break all boundaries of rope jumping as we know it and will enable
athletes to experience base jumps against one of the most iconic skylines in the world.”
Dream Jump Dubai will use multiple zip lines, totaling over 10 kilometers of rope, suspended
high over the iconic Dubai Marina skyline. Such an event has never been attempted before
inside any city. Zarir Saifuddin, partner at Never Before Events and the regional distributor for
the Dream Jump system said, “Dream jumps are referred to around the world as bungee jumps
without a recoil. A dream jump involves jumpers leaping off of tall structures while connected to
a patented system of dynamic ropes. The end result is a long and safe free fall from any land
mass or tower.”
Thomas Zielinski a former high-altitude worker and founder of the latest rope jumping craze said,
“The patented braking system allows jumpers to land in a position similar as if a parachute had
been deployed without experiencing the recoil as in Bungee Jumping."

What is Dream Jump?
Unlike bungee jumping which involves jumpers bouncing up and down after each jump,
the dream jump patented system provides jumpers with a longer free fall and with a
landing very similar to that of a base jump without a parachute.
At present the place there are three permanent Dream Jump locations in Poland with a
fourth scheduled to open in June on the Island of Mallorca.

What is the difference between a Dream Jump and Bungee Jump?
The dream jump system allows jumpers to have a longer free fall distance than in a
bungee jump and have full freedom of movement during a jump to experience different
acrobatics while in free fall.
Due to the patented breaking system jumpers land similar to as if a parachute had been
deployed and do not experience recoil as in Bungee Jumping. The Dream Jump system is
also used by Skydivers wishing to safely train for progression to base jumping.
Due to the location of the dynamic ropes Dream Jumpers can jump from tall structures
side by side with Base Jumpers something not possible in a Bungee Jump.

How did this initiative come about:
Zarir Saifuddin, partner at Never Before Events, invited the team from Poland to
showcase the Dream Jump system to the Chairman of Skydive Dubai, H.E. Nasser Al
Neyadi, during the 2014 Middle East Extreme Sports Expo. After witnessing the
excitement of Dream Jump, the Chairman of Skydive Dubai asked Zarir to consider
introducing the biggest Dream Jump event in Dubai, with most elite Skydivers jumping
against the iconic skyline. A month later a core team of 40 people from 6 companies
were tasked with creating Dream Jump Dubai.

