EVS project Centre Europa Jove /European Youth Center Long term EVS: 10 months (October 2015 – July 2016) Deadline for sending your CV and specific motivation letter: 27th of March 2015 EVS no: 2012-ES-160 Background: The Centre Europa Jove is a youth information centre about international mobility. We are working in the Barcelonès County, which means Barcelona and the four surrounding cities. This centre forms part of the Barcelonès city council and is working in cooperation with the town halls of Barcelona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Adrià del Besòs, Badalona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The goals of the centre: - to inform young people about their possibilities to go abroad and about European mobility programs - to give young people all the necessary tools to be able to go abroad, from information to language training - to promote youth mobility and to encourage to take part in mobility projects as a resource for youth empowerment - to raise youth employability Tasks of the volunteer: - participate in all activities of the Centre Europa Jove - prepare and give language courses (English and native language) - participate and develop workshops about youth mobility programs - support the team in the online job tool - the volunteer will be encouraged to propose other activities and will develop together with other European volunteers a personal project. Profile of the volunteer: The volunteer must be an open person with interest in working with young people and in mobility projects. The volunteer should be interested in giving workshops and classes. We welcome people with interest in organizing non formal training activities about their own culture and language. Practical information: Place: The EVS takes place mainly in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (by metro easily reachable from Barcelona, where the volunteer will be living). The project involves local mobility which means that twice a week the workplace will be in a different youth centre. Duration: 10 months (beginning of October 2015 until the end of July 2016) Hours: The volunteer will be expected to work 30 hours/week. The working hours will be starting at noon until the evening (20h) Language training: The volunteer will receive Spanish classes and has the possibility to learn Catalan.
