WORKING WITH SPANISH
ASSOCIATIONS
EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE
Ciudad Real, Spain
June 2015 – February 2016
PROJECT’S INFO
What is EVS?
The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is part of the Key Action 1:
Mobility for young people and young Workers of the Erasmus + programme. It
supports transnational voluntary service by young people and aims to develop
solidarity and promote tolerance among young people and encourages active
citizenship and enhances mutual understanding among young people.
These general objectives will be achieved by:




Helping young people to participate in various forms of voluntary
activities, both within and outside the European Union;
Giving young people the opportunity to express their personal
commitment through voluntary activities at international and European
level.
Involving young people in projects fostering solidarity between citizens of
the European Union.
Involving young volunteers in a non-profit-making, unpaid and full-time
activity for the benefit of the general public in another country than their
country of residence.
The European Voluntary Service is a Learning service through nonformal learning experiences where young volunteers will improve and acquire
skills for their personal, educational and professional development, and add to
their general social integration.
And when you have finished your EVS, you will have a Youthpass
What is Youthpass?
The simple answer is that Youthpass in European Voluntary Service, is a
Certificate which confirms the participation of volunteers and describes their
specific EVS project. It is also a Certificate that describes what volunteers
learned during their project using the Key competences for Lifelong Learning as
a framework.
Consejoven, will do an Activity plan where you can explain the
competences you are acquired during the project, in order to complete the
Youthpass easier.

About Consejoven
CONSEJOVEN (Local Youth Council) is the body of youth participation in
Ciudad Real. Our main objective is the promotion of youth associations and
volunteering.
We have as purposes the development of youth, helping out who lack
opportunities, the integration into society of discriminated young people and
encouraging youth initiative.
Our organisation is formed by 12 members. They are members of their own
associations and they have between 18 and 30 years old.
Apart of these people, we have more than 50 associations in which young
people try to do a lot of activities.
In order to carry out this work, we realize: "ASSOCIATIVE YOUTH
PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME"
General description of our EVS
“WORKING WITH SPANISH ASSOCIATIONS”
The EVS will take place in Ciudad Real, Spain, for 8 month between
June 2015 and February 2016. The project already involve 3 volunteer: 2 from
Romania and 1 from Italy and we are searching for the fourth one.
The project will let them to increase their personal and professional skills
by their participation in the different activities made by the associations involved
our project, so they will be also best prepared for word market and promote
social changes, thanks to interpersonal, languages skills, etc.
The young volunteers will be involved in academic and non-formal
educative projects, with different social groups: minorities disadvantaged young
people, non-motivated young people, etc.
They will also help to prepare leisure and cooperation activities for local
children and young people, like workshops, performances, theatre plays, young
meetings, cultural excursion.
We think the project will be useful for European volunteers, indeed they
will know actively the different ways of youth participation in our local
community and they could use them in their future projects in their countries. As
3
the same time, they will teach us how the working way in their countries is, this
would be useful to encourage youth participation and to create solid working
nets all around Europe.
