‘essential oil’ to a parrot owner and they are inclined to take their precious bird and run! Come by our booth and
learn how aromatherapy can indeed be safe for companion birds when one is given the right tools. See photos

with many physical and emotional problems including such things as arthritis, hormones, feather destructive

Boomzookee Bird Toys was created to provide your feathered friends with fun, exciting toys and safety as
the top priority. Since my birds are the most important things in my life (besides my spouse), I took a part
of each of their names, Boomer (Congo African Grey), Kazoo (Red Front
Macaw) and Yankee Doodle (Timneh African Grey) and came up with
Boomzookee! This was one way I could acknowledge the love I have for

The Texas Parrot Project
3511 Duncaster Dr.
Missouri City, TX 77459
Website: www.texasparrot.org
The Texas Parrot Project was born out of love, loss and facination.
The loss of North America’s only indigenous parrot species, the
Carolina Conure (Conuropsis carolinensis) was a painful reminder
of how easily the beautiful things around us can disappear in a
flash. Since the 1960’s the arrival and spread of the Monk Parakeet
(Myiopsitta monachus) and other psittacines (parrots) have once again given the gift of parrots to the Texas
skies. Their introduction to the native landscape had been met with fear and mistrust by many ecological
circles as well as industry, politics and aviculture. Much of this sentiment is based on little data and the
Texas Parrot Project is commited to the understanding of these feisty newcomers and their real impact on
the native ecology of Texas and people that surround them.
