DONATION WISH LIST
At Levine Children’s Hospital our pediatric patients receive quality medical treatment and family centered care.
However, the children and families that come to our hospital have other needs that generous individuals and
organizations throughout the Carolinas help us meet.
Your gifts of time, talent and toys are simple ways to help brighten a child’s day. This list offers suggestions for items
that you or your organization can make or buy to donate to the pediatric patients at Levine Children’s Hospital on the
campus of Carolinas Medical Center.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of there suggestions or would like to know our greatest needs at the
time, please call 704-381-3257.
VERY IMPORTANT
1. Due to our infection control policy, all toys must be new and easy to sanitize.
2. The patient population includes many infants and toddlers. Please avoid toys that have small choke-able pieces,
sharp pieces, or fall apart easily.

PROJECTS TO DO
Toiletry Items (for parents and young adults): Toothbrush/toothpaste, comb, brush, deodorant, shaving cream,
disposable razors, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
School Boxes: A school box with crayons, pencils, rulers, glue, scissors, etc.
Banners: Please make a design on poster and leave a large space for the name to be written in. We appreciate your
creativity in artwork and designs but suggest avoiding use of “Get Well Soon,” “I love you,” “God Bless You,” or other
religious preferences. Banners should simply say “Happy Birthday,” “Happy Holidays,” “Congratulations,” or “Way to
Go!”
Monthly Calendars: It’s easy to lose track of time while in the hospital. You can help by designing a monthly wall
calendar on 11x14 poster board. A general outline is all that is needed. The kids like to fill in the month, days, and
numbers.
Teaching Dolls: Children can learn about surgery and other medical procedures by play acting the experience with a
doll as a patient. The Child Life Department has a pattern for making these dolls. We always need these!!!!!!
