This is an intensive 2-day course/workshop on the application of duplex, pulsed wave,
colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of the abdominal, extra and
intra-cranial and peripheral vasculature. The course is a combination of lectures,
demonstrations and workshop sessions and is designed to cover both the basic
principles of these techniques and a review of the current state of ultrasound
arteriography and venography.
Each clinical lecture will cover the following topics:
 Normal vasculature and variants  Examination protocols
 Diagnostic criteria  Case histories Pitfalls in interpretation
Clinical applications literature will be available to the delegates.

Exhibition/Practical ‘hands-on‘ sessions
An exhibition/workshop of the latest ultrasound systems, will be held throughout each
day. The workshops will be available for delegates to gain supervised training and
practical experience in the use of Doppler ultrasound techniques in scheduled sessions
within the programme.
