Creative workshops
Studio Theatre
In our Studio Theatre we are running two free creative workshops led by illustrator Iris
Hill and jewellery maker Joanne Tinley. Both are residents at The Sorting Office studios in
Eastleigh which are supported by RECREATE and were officially opened in May 2013 by
Wayne Hemingway MBE.

Inside this guide you will find a map and list
of designers. Visit our designer-maker stands,
take part in our free creative workshops, see
Create and illustrate your own wonderful creature
from the land of collage. Illustrator Iris Hill will
take you on a journey through your imagination.
Your characters will leap out onto the page, a scaly
dragon waiting to breathe fire perhaps, or a fairy
whose beautiful skirt needs a twinkle? This exciting
workshop will recycle one piece of art into another,
which will be yours to keep.
1.30pm - 3.30pm
Jewellery Workshop For ages 16+
Inspirational jewellery designer Joanne Tinley will
introduce simple texturing, soldering and polishing
techniques that will allow participants to make two
pairs of beautiful sterling silver earrings. Joanne
will demonstrate the techniques to be used before
encouraging participants to design their own
earrings using the examples provided as their
starting point.

This thrilling workshop is open to anyone aged 16
years and above, although 14 and 15 year olds may
take part if accompanied by an adult who is also
participating in the workshop.
