Weddington, NC resident Grace
McGrath who lost her battle with
DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine
Glioma) just nine months after
diagnosis.
As a race sponsor, you will join in
our quest to find a cure for all
cancers, starting first with one of
the most difficult and deadly
cancers: pediatric brain cancer.
The Race Against the Odds –
Charlotte is the premier event for
The Cure Starts Now Foundation
in the Charlotte area. Funds raised
at this family friendly race will
help The Cure Starts Now fund
pediatric brain cancer research.
The Cure Starts Now (CSN) is a
501(c)(3) non-profit organization
started by Brooke and Keith
Desserich after the loss of their
daughter to brain cancer. Thanks
to the efforts of many companies
around the nation, CSN is able to
provide funding of experimental
treatments and research at
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital,
St. Jude’s Children’s Research
Hospital, Stanford University
Medical Center, and Duke
Children’s Hospital. Yet, there is
so much more left to be funded….
