EXEBIT-2015 Gaming(Dota 2) ● Game-play Rules ○ In-game Rules ■ ■ ■ ■ Game used : DOTA 2 (Steam version), latest update. Competition method : 5 vs 5 (Team play, 5 players per team) Game mode : Captains Mode (CM) Dota2 Server : SEA or India ○ Victory condition ■ The first team to destroy the opponent team’s ancient tower (main building). Forfeit system is allowed. ● Sides ■ (Radiant / Dire; Ban first) will be notified before the match by the Match ■ moderator using the toss system . ● Match Rules ○ Scheduling team will schedule the match and will provide the team captains the mobile and steam contact of the assigned match moderators. At the time of the match the assigned Match moderator will host the lobby. ○ Match moderators will have the final say for all decisions of the match and they hold the responsibility to keep the records of each and every match and not the team captains. ○ All reasons for pause or disconnections will be under the control of the assigned Match moderator. ○ All stages of the tournament will be knockout. ○ We might introduce Double Elimination if we have a lot of spare time on our hands. ● Finals: Best of 3. ○ Backdooring Backdooring is allowed. ○ Sharing ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Sharing of item is allowed as long as the game permits. Sharing control is allowed. Item Limitations No items limitations. Exploits Exploiting game or map bugs/glitches/flaws (“exploits”) for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Exploits that are not specifically named here are still prohibited but will be dealt with on a casebycase basis. There are currently no exceptions. The use of any thirdparty add ons, hooks, programs or wrappers that interact with or alter the Dota 2 client, its appearance or behaviour for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Players and teams caught using such addons will, at the discretion of the tournament administrators, be expelled from the tournament and forfeit any prizes awarded by their position. Disconnections If any player disconnects during a match, the game will be paused (default is F9) until the player reconnects. Maximum 10 mins (depends on the situation) will be given to the disconnected player to reconnect. Pausing without any valid reason or intentional pausing to gain any unfair advantage in between gangs can lead to disqualification. Intentional disconnections will not lead to rehosting of any particular match at any point of time. Server Crashes In the case of a server crash, the game can be continued from the latest save. The person who hosted the lobby for the match will have the option (game setup option) to load from a save file when they host again. The save file is generated every minute in the background. In the unlikely event that the reload does not work, the game will be replayed with the same exact hero picks and lane movements until the first creep wave of the Radiant and Dire side meets. If both the teams mutually decide for any change of side or restarting the match Abusing is not at all allowed. Excessive abusing may result in disqualification of the reported team. One player is eligible to play for ‘only’ one team throughout the tournament including the standins. Time Penalty The teams which doesn’t showup within 30 mins from the allotted/decided time will be disqualified with an Infraction point in their favour ( read below to know what are Infraction points ). Warning System Any infringement may penalise a team with an ‘Infraction’. Infraction refers to violation points awarded for any misconduct or breaking the tournament rules. Any team with ‘three’ infraction points in their account will be ejected from the tournament. Infraction decisions can only be taken by the Admins/Organisers and their decision will be final.
