From
Clinton County Steve’s Best BBQ Sauce
Sweeten up your
grilled masterpiece with
Crazy Gary’s Bar-B-Que Sauce
Christmas at Home means
a
time
friends, family and
Gary Farley what isof most
important to
some people ... good food.
While cooking for the
holidays can be somewhat
overwhelming, picking the
right Bar-B-Q sauce can be a
breeze for Clinton Countians.
Crazy
Gary’s
Bar-B-Q
Sauce has been out for about
a year now and creator Gary
Farley has done well with his
recipe. He is selling it all over
the county, and it has even
made it to Florida where he
said it is being used in Bar-BQ competitions.
“I sold it to somebody
who gave it to a Bar-B-Q
competitor in Florida and they said it’s the best they have
every tasted,” Farley said. “I just sent them six quarts in
the mail. They are going to use it in Bar-B-Q competitions
this January. I thought that was pretty neat. I’m interested
to see how it turns out!”
Farley has been making his sauce
for more than 20 years, and his
daughter, Melanie Mantle, has been
pushing him to sell it. Now, Farley has
a licensed kitchen and is a Kentucky
Proud Partner and has his sauce in
around 18 stores in Clinton County.
A list of those stores can be found
elsewhere, in an advertisement, in this
week’s edition of the Clinton County
News.
Farley only has one flavor of sauce,
mild, but he said he was going to
experiment with a hot version this
summer.
Crazy Gary’s Bar-B-Q sauce comes
in pints for $5 and quart jars for $8.

Nancy Mims
Nancy Mims began making beer cheese when she was in high school, and it was always
a big hit with her friends as well as at family gatherings.
Nancy is a return vendor to our Christmas From Clinton feature, and she says that after
her product appeared in this space in 2010, she had a hard time keeping up with the de
mand, but she’s back again this year, ready to make your local
Christmas shopping tasks a little easier.
Utilizing a small booth space at area festivals and events
such as the U.S. 127 Yard Sale, Nancy began selling her beer
cheese to the public. She says the spread would make a
great stocking stuffer for those on your Christmas list, as well
as being a great addition to the menu for your holiday gatherings and meals.
It can be used as a topping on crackers or even on hamburgers or other sandwiches.
An 8 oz tub is only $5 and you can order from Nancy by
