the Nicki Marquardt Summer Collection 2014 is a celebration of feminine headwear in all its facets. In bold pinks
and warm shades of rust, delicate nuances of aqua and
classic black-and-white, the designs play with geometrically
accentuated and floral-like shapes and exude a natural
nonchalance.
All models, as always made by hand in the Nicki
Marquardt workshop in Munich, boast the highest levels
of workmanship and quality and provide a perfect fit.
The feminine summer hats made from an appealing
combination of sinamay and hemp are sensationally light
and a delight to wear. Trendy Gatsby-style models and
sporty peaked caps promise protection from the sun and
have an appeal for both the town and the beach. The
casual trilby of high-quality Japanese toyo paper, also
made for everyday wear, introduces a new look this season
through the use of extravagant stitching.
Model hats and fascinators made of exotic straw and
exquisite pheasant feathers are inimitable eyecatchers.
Striking folds and soft lines turn these models into
sculpture-like accessories for the head. Created to make
a special entrance, they add pure elegance to every outfit.

Since 1997 Nicki Marquardt has been designing and
manufacturing Haute Couture & custom made hats for
a wide range of occasions, including theatre, TV & film
productions as well as social events such as weddings,
anniversaries and company events.
The popular designer also creates two prêt-à-porter
collections each year which she presents on important
accessory fairs in spring and autumn, such as the Première
Classe Tuileries in Paris.
Her collections are sold by selected galleries, fashion &
concept stores around the globe in Auckland, Brisbane,
Chicago, London, Milan, New York, Paris, San Francisco,
Seoul and Tokyo.
Unconventional stylistic elements, delicate
materials and perfect workmanship are the
leitmotifs for Nicki Marquardt’s design. Her
focus is always on designing contemporary
and trendy hats for ladies and gentlemen
which are enhancing the style of their
wearer. Her creations have reaped numerous
awards: in 2012, Nicki Marquardt received
the internationally renowned red dot design
award for her collection of foldable hats
which reflect her design attitude in a playful
manner.
