What is Juke Box Mania?
Juke Box Mania (JBM) is one of O awa’s most entertaining and enjoyable events.
JBM a racts close to 400 par cipants annually. It is a high energy game that Family
Services O awa (FSO) introduced in 2003. Best described as a kind of “Name That
Tune” game, it challenges players to name musical ar sts, movies, jingles, television shows and various songs from every musical genre in a fun, relaxed and partylike atmosphere. It usually takes place in October of every year. For those who
a end Juke Box Mania, there’s entertainment (the game), a silent auc on, a 50/50
draw, and some light fare (e.g. pizza) to eat. Funds to support FSO are raised
through sales of tables and light food, the silent auc on, the 50/50 draw and the
sale of products (T-shirts) and sponsorships.

FSO exists to provide services and programs that help make las ng improvements in people’s lives. We accomplish this by: helping individuals and families in all of their forms; providing a wide range of counselling services, educa onal and suppor ve programs, mul services associated with each program; collabora ng with other like-minded organiza ons; and advoca ng on behalf of our clients. Here is more about us….. 
FSO provided counselling services to individuals, children and families. In 2014 we provided 32,000
hours of service to 9,000 individuals.

We oﬀer an Employee Assistance Program (fseap) to employees and their family members. We
served 55+ organiza ons with over 35,000 employees in 2014.

We provide a wide range of counselling services and educa onal and suppor ve programs to people
struggling with mental health challenges.

We educate and support parents to deal with the diﬃcul es that come with paren ng. (e.g. Discipline
The Doesn’t Hurt Anyone).

We have an -violence programs that are designed to assist women and their children, vic ms or violence and abuse.

We oﬀer support, training and educa on for individuals and families in the FGBTTQ community.

We provide a preven on based educa on program which aims to prevent da ng violence and promote healthy, equal rela onships among teens.

We oﬀer an Alterna ve Dispute Resolu on program to resolve child protec on disputes.

We facilitate support groups for mothers experiencing postpartum distress, depression and/or anxiety.

We oﬀer a safe neutral and child-focused Supervised Access Program, wherein non-custodial parent
or rela ve may visit children under the supervision of trained staﬀ and volunteers.

We provide Art Studio space for ar sts living with mental illness to pursue art, increase self-esteem,
reduce isola on and s gma, enhance crea vity and develop skills.
