The weather was perfect…. Until it rained! However, despite the rain that came at the end of our Annual Farmersville Chamber of Commerce Banquet we started it with beautiful spring like weather and a sold out event. We
greatly appreciated our sponsors, the people who donated items for our auction, the Clay Potter Band and the
food catered by Jalapenos. Clay Potter, our Chamber Board President presented our prestigious awards to the
Policeman of the Year, Jaret Crawley; Fireman of the Year, Jake Hansen; Teacher of the Year, Ashley Cathey,
President’s Award to Charlies Curington; Citizen’s Award to Joe McKee; Chamber of Commerce Past President,
Emily Dillard.
Then, Clay presented over 80 “Distinguished Onion Awards” to recognize the Chamber Members who attended
the banquet and support the Chamber year after year. He introduced our eight board members and our nine
Chamber Ambassadors—all who have all helped to make this another good year for the Farmersville Chamber of
Commerce.
Our next events are the Yards of Yard Sales on June 6th, Scare Around The Shed on October 24th, Trick It Up
Bike Ride also on October 24th and the Farmersville Christmas parade on December 12th.
