Lewis Writer, Theologian Respect for Life * Thank you to all who signed up for spiritual adoption, the commitment to name a newly conceived baby in danger of abortion, and to pray for its life for nine months. This commitment began with the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, and ends at Christmas. We pray for the lives of the babies, as fully human as was Jesus, from the moment of His conception. We pray for the babies' mothers, that like Mary, they choose to accept God's unplanned gift of life. And we pray for the babies' fathers and families, that like Joseph, they support the mother in choosing life. If you missed the signup last weekend, signup slips are available in the back of church. Completed slips remain in the baby basket on Mary's altar through Christmas. * The Archdiocese is sponsoring the Good Friday Way of the Cross on Friday, April 3. This event, led by Bishop Madden, begins at St. Alphonsus Church (114 W Saratoga Street) and processes two blocks to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. Participants pray the Stations of the Cross on the way to the clinic, the Sorrowful Decades of the Rosary across the street from the clinic, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet on the way back to church. The event begins at 8am and takes a little over an hour. Parking is available at the Franklin Street garage between Charles and Cathedral, the Saratoga Street garage between Charles and Cathedral, and at on-street meters. - ST THOMAS AQUINAS THANKS OUR BULLETIN ADVERTISERS – PLEASE PATRONIZE THEM WHEN POSSIBLE - GENIE SCHWIND BURGEE - HENSS - SEITZ FUNERAL HOME, INC .
