FBW NEWS May 2015 The Farmers Bank of Willards Newsletter From Our President... This quarter, I’d like to recognize our entire dedicated staff. I am honored to be writing this letter to you with gratitude and thanks for all that you have done, and will continue to do to promote the Farmers Bank brand, our history, our culture, but most of all, our genuine desire to treat our customers like family. As many of you know, the week of June 8th begins our official week of our 90th anniversary celebrations. When you stop and think about it, there are just not that many businesses that are still around after ninety years, and we want to be around for 100 more. As Walt Disney once said, "you can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world ... but it requires people to make that dream a reality." I continually remind our stockholders and Board of Directors that without you, we have no bank. Without our customers, we have no bank. Without the relationships that you have cultivated, we have no bank. The bank is not a series of bricks and mortar buildings or vaults with cash stuck in them, the bank is YOU! So many exciting things are happening. We are looking at new branch locations, new customers who want us to move to their town and new ways to attract new customers. We are also looking at new and exciting enhancements to our mobile banking product, mobile app enhancements, text alerts, off/on switches for debit cards, and new technologies that, ultimately, will allow Farmers Bank to meet every customer’s expectations. So accept my personal gratitude, the gratitude of our stockholders and the gratitude of the Board of Directors. Enjoy celebrating 90 years of extraordinary customer service. We would like to thank you, our loyal customers, and invite you to come and celebrate our 90th anniversary with us! During the week of June 8-12, 2015, we will be “Celebrating the Memories...Embracing the Future” at all of our branch locations. Each day we will be recognizing our customers with giveaways and snacks! All week long, you will also have the opportunity to enter to win an iPad by donating 90 cents per chance. The proceeds will benefit: Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore-Duane V Perdue Scholarship Fund! The week culminates with a day long celebration on Friday, June 12th at our Willards Branch location! Come enjoy refreshments, good food, fun and great giveaways. We will have children’s activities from 3:00-5:00 pm. There will be a Dedication Ceremony at 5:00 pm. Hope to see you there! The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Davis as the Bank’s Marketing Director. Andrew is a graduate of High Point University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and comes to us with over three years previous customer relations experience at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida. Andrew started his new position on April 20th and looks forward to helping our institution execute the new and exciting projects that we are working on! Celebrating our 90th Anniversary by honoring each employee’s anniversary date AND randomly giving each employee a half of a day off and a gift card!
