10 11 12 13 14 University of Alabama in Cuba Semester Program Directed by Dr. Michael Schnepf The University of Alabama is proud to offer for a fifth straight year a semester-‐
long undergraduate program in La Habana, Cuba. Students earn 12 hours of upper-‐level Spanish credit. Their four classes have included US-‐Cuba relations, language, culture of La Habana, as well as a fascinating roundtable in which they have the opportunity to meet and dialogue with a series of figures from all walks of Cuban life. Participants in this program also have the chance to travel the entire island: from Viñales to Trinidad, from Varadero to Playa Girón. The group lives in the comfortable Montehabana Aparthotel in the Miramar section of La Habana and has two classes at the University of La Habana and two at the Fundación Núñez in Miramar.
