Welcome
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 28th Annual Inman Park Auction
in this 31st anniversary year of Inman Park Cooperative Preschool. As you
join us in this beautiful venue, you will find there are auction items to suit all
interests! From hand-made trinkets, to vacations in France or the mountains
of Colorado, and a private dinner cooked by Top Chef winner Richard Blais –
there is truly something for everyone!
This wonderful evening was made possible because of the dedication,
kindness and generosity of both current and alumni families as well as our
distinguished donors and supporters in the Atlanta community. I would
particularly like to extend a warm thank you to all of those who have worked
with incredible enthusiasm over the last year to make this event come to life!
The funds raised tonight will help provide Inman Park Cooperative Preschool
teachers and students with the tools and materials to explore the outdoor
world and make real-life connections that support a lifelong love of learning
and a love of the natural world.

Thank you for being a part of the 28th Annual Inman Park Auction presented by Thrive
Homes and benefitting Inman Park Cooperative Preschool (IPCP).
Over thirty years ago, a group of dedicated parents and community members joined
together to establish a school where young children and their families could come
together to learn, play, explore and grow. Since that time, our school has grown to a
dedicated group of parents that share the idea that the best place for children to learn
is in an environment that supports their natural curiosity, while teaching them respect
and stewardship for the world around them.
Your support today will help us to continue to enrich the lives of children with our
nature-based curriculum that nurtures each child’s unique gifts and talents. Here are
some of the ways proceeds from our annual fundraising auction have made a real
difference for our students and for our school:

We have chickens – and they roam free! Having the chickens in this “free range”
area allows the children to interact with these animals and understand firsthand
the basic elements that living things need to grow and thrive.
•
We provide professional development workshops for our teachers and staff
with local organizations such as Zoo Atlanta and Farmer D Organics that help us
enhance our curriculum.
•
We grow some of our own food in our vegetable garden, allowing even our
youngest students to truly comprehend what it means to say, “farm to table.”
•
We have installed an energy-efficient Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
system because we strive to set an example of sustainable operations not only
for our students, but also for our community.
Our mission includes providing a safe and inviting green space for children to explore
nature and the seed-to-table garden cycle in an urban landscape. As a parent-run and
staff-supported preschool, we have been working toward this mission for more than
30 years, but we can’t do it alone. Proceeds from today’s auction are critically needed
to support and enrich our nature-based outdoor education program.

About the Auction
Registration: Upon entering the auction, you will receive your bid number on the back of your catalog. Use
only the bid number assigned to you for bidding on silent and live auction items and for making purchases at
the cafe and bar.
Silent Auction Bidding Rules:
- Observe minimum raises as noted on the Silent Auction Bid Sheets.
- To place a bid, write your name and bid number with your bid amount on the bid sheet. Doing so
constitutes a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item at the price you stated, if your bid is the
winning bid.
- The last (highest) valid bid entered prior to the section closing will be the winner.
- A maximum guaranteed bid is stated on each bid sheet. By signing your name and bid number in this box, the bidding closes and the item is yours.
- The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time without notice before the actual sale.
- In the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee shall act as final authority.
Live Auction Bidding Rules:
- When bidding, please hold up your bid number toward the auctioneer.
- The live auction will continue until all items are sold.
- If a group is bidding on one item, please designate one person to place your combined bid. Auction items
will be awarded to one purchaser only.
- A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
Payment: All items must be paid for by the end of the evening. For your convenience we gladly accept cash,
check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Pick-Up: Once you have paid for your winning items, you will be issued a receipt. Please present this receipt
at the Pick-Up Table to claim your winning items and/or certificates or services. It is the responsibility of the
purchaser to locate and remove his/her winning item(s) by the end of the auction.
Terms of Sale: Unless otherwise noted, all certificates for goods and services must be used within one year of
the auction date. All items and services are subject to the terms and conditions as noted on the item/certificate. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. The Inman Park Cooperative Preschool does not
make any expressed or implied warranties or guarantees on auction items regarding quality or value of items
or services. Inman Park Cooperative Preschool has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly,
but all items are offered and sold “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.” Inman Park Cooperative Preschool neither
warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness,
authorship, provenance or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog or made orally at the

113. Eli Kirshtein Cooking Class
Atlanta’s own Top Chef contestant, Eli Kirshtein, will do a private, in-home cooking
class for four. Born and raised in Atlanta, Eli began his culinary career at the young
age of 16 as a cook at Atlanta’s Buckhead Diner under Chef Kevin Rathbun. Kirshtein
quickly moved to restaurant Fishbone under Chef Richard Blais before moving to New
York to attend school at the Culinary Institute of America. After graduation, Kirshtein
returned to Atlanta to reunite with Blais, as Sous Chef at One, Midtown Kitchen. He has
also worked under Alberto Cabrera at Miami’s Karu & Y as Executive Sous Chef and

The Jazz on the Lawn outdoor concert series
showcases a lineup of Atlanta’s jazz treasures
with a mix of classic and contemporary jazz,
swing, fusion, Latin and blues. Surrounded
by the natural beauty of Callanwolde’s lush

live music performed by some of the finest
