At St George, we understand Australians have better things to do than clean their oven. With this in mind we’ve created new
SC360 Steam Clean Technology. This revolutionary self-cleaning system uses steam to loosen baked on food, grease and
grime. Your oven will stay remarkably clean and require minimal maintenance. At St George, we believe you should enjoy
the cooking and leave the cleaning up to us.
1. After your meal, once the oven is
cool, fill your oven tray with 500ml’s
of water or place an oven-safe bowl
of water into your oven. Switch the
knob to ‘Steam Clean’ mode.
2. Your oven will be illuminated and
the fully automatic 1 hour cycle
will begin. 90°C heat will billow
throughout your oven cavity.
3. T his heat will cause
the water to vaporise,
creating a moist
environment that is
the ideal self-cleaning
atmosphere. The oven
fan will ensure moisture
reaches every nook of
your oven.
4. T he circulating steam will
penetrate baked-on food,
grease and grime on the
oven lining forming a
water layer between it
and our unique enamel
surface. Food will be
loosened allowing for
easy removal.
5. O
nce the process is complete,
the oven light switches off. When
cooled, simply wipe down your
oven with a soapy cloth to remove
food, grease and grime.

Unlike other cooktops that produce heat, induction cooktops produce an electromagnetic field that then heats
up the magnetic metal cooking vessel holding your creation. In an induction cooktop, that electromagnetic
field appears and is confined to the area above the cooking zone, and as soon as a cooking vessel,
made of a magnetic metal is placed in this area, it starts to heat up, and heats the food inside.
Because of this structure, the efficiency of induction cookers is far better than the conventional
gas or electric cookers, in which the heat produced needs to travel through the air (and in case of
ceramic cooktops, also through a layer of glass) into the cooking vessel, and only then be transferred to the
food inside, with many losses on the way.
This high efficiency makes cooking with induction faster and thus cheaper than other methods.
