Saturday and Sunday
Pine Needle Baskets - Eileen McEnroe will demonstrate the
unique art of creating baskets from pine needles!
Capital Quilters - Watch as quilt-makers hand stitch squares to
create quilts.
Midstate Porcelain Art Guild - Members will demonstrate the
exacting art of painting and inking designs by hand on porcelain.
Weaving with Sue Balcom - Sue will create cloth out of fiber using
a loom. Saturday only.
Prairie Rose Lace Makers - Observe the disappearing art of lacemaking created by hand.
The Spinning Group - Watch as members spin wool into yarn on a
spinning wheel. (Sunday only)
Dakota Woodturners Club - Members will create beautiful wood
pieces on a lath. Located north of the Temporary Tattoo booth.
Flickertail Wood Carvers - Members will create beautiful hand
carvings from wood.
Activities
Saturday and Sunday
Shade Tree Players will perform Hamlet Saturday and Sunday in
the Heritage Center at 1:00 P.M. Performances are free and open
to the public. Donations are welcome.
Shawn McCann, professional chalk artist from Minneapolis, will
be creating a 3-D image near the Capitol steps. Stop and watch the
image come to life!
Sidewalk Chalk Art - Chalk artists will create colorful masterpieces
on the sidewalk south of the Capitol steps! The artists will be using
sidewalk chalk and pastels for their creations.
Strolling Musician - Paul Imholte will be performing a variety of
music using nearly a dozen string instruments.
Temporary Tattoos - Tattoo booth for children of all ages for 50¢.
The booth is located on the north lawn (near Kettle Korn).
JT’s Inflatable Games - Jumping games for kids of all ages.
Located on southeast lawn.
