Pine Needle Baskets - Eileen McEnroe will demonstrate the
unique art of creating baskets from pine needles!
Capital Quilters - Watch as quilt-makers hand stitch squares to
create quilts.
The Spinning/Weaving Group - Watch as members spin wool
into yarn on a spinning wheel.
Dakota Woodturners Club - Members will create beautiful wood
pieces on a lath. Located north of the Temporary Tattoo booth.
Ukrainian Egg Painting - Discover the rare art of creating
beautiful designs on eggs using wax and dyes.
Sunday Only
Prairie Rose Lacemakers- Observe the vanishing art of lace
making created by hand.
Alliance Taekwondo Center (11am & 2 pm) traditional martial
arts demonstration. Martial artists, ages ranging from 9-16 years
old will perform traditional patterns, moves and board breaking.
Activities
Saturday and Sunday
Shade Tree Players will perform The Taming of the Shrew on
Saturday and Sunday in front of the Heritage Center at 2:00 P.M.
Performances are free and open to the public. Donations are
welcome.
Sidewalk Chalk Art - Chalk artists will create colorful
masterpieces on the sidewalk south of the Capitol steps!
Temporary Tattoos - Tattoo booth for children of all ages for 50¢.
The booth is located on the north lawn (near Kettle Korn).
Net-a-Duck Raffle: Win big money and prizes! Purchase number
by tattoo booth.
Chautauqua Tent: Performances 11 AM to 5 PM
Sunday Only: Mustangs and Fords of the Dakotas Classic Car
