WISH Charter’s Spring Auction 2014
WISH is grateful for the community partnerships that we have built with our families and local
businesses, whose generosity provides the amazing donations that you’ll find throughout this
auction catalog. All items have been donated to our school, which means that your auction bids
go directly towards sustaining the unique educational model that makes WISH successful,
including our small class sizes, co-teaching and collaboration, and differentiated instruction for
each individual student – all students growing and thriving!
Bidding for the WISH SPRING AUCTION will be entirely online through eBay’s Giving Works site,
March 18-23, 2014. You can access all of our auction listings through this link:
http://tiny.cc/WISHSpringAuction. There are over 500 items listed online; this auction catalog
provides a brief description of available items for you to review before going online to bid. If you
do not have an eBay account, you will be able to browse the auction, but will need to register for
a free account to bid.
Please read the online description for each auction item carefully. We have done our best to
represent the items for sale as accurately as possible, and this includes any restrictions
established by the donor. If you are local to Los Angeles, California, you can pick up your auction
item(s) from WISH Charter with no shipping fee. Please bring your payment (cash or check,
exact amount only) to pick up, or pay online ahead of time using PayPal and bring a copy of your
receipt.
Pick up will be available the following days/times at WISH Charter:
Tuesday, March 25th, 8-9am and 2-3:30pm
Thursday, March 27th, 8-9am and 1:45-2:45pm
Friday, March 28th, 8-9am and 2-3:30pm

If you are unable to pick up your auction items during the above pick up times, you will need to
pay for shipping. Items to be shipped must be paid via PayPal, and may take approximately 5
business days for processing once payment has been received, before being shipped.
More detailed information and pictures are available online for each of the auction listings. Please
be generous with your bids. All proceeds directly support WISH Charter. The amount paid for
auction items in excess of the stated value may be tax deductible.
ABOUT WISH:
WISH Charter Elementary School in Westchester opened its doors in the fall of 2010 to a diverse
community of students, with the belief that every child deserves a high-quality, individualized
education based on research regarding best practices. Now in its fourth year, our school
continues to grow and thrive, currently serving approximately 360 Kindergarten through 6th
grade students, with plans to grow to 8th grade with over 500 students by the 2015-16 school
year. WISH's unique approach to public education promotes inclusion of and respect for all
children. The school has been recognized for its exemplary educational practices, being chosen
as one of only six schools across the country to serve as a SWIFT Knowledge Development site
by the University of Kansas. WISH has also been the recipient of a prestigious two-year CMAST
grant in partnership with Loyola Marymount University to continue to strengthen our science,
technology, engineering and mathematics programs. In addition, we were voted “Best Charter
School” of Westchester, Playa Del Rey, Playa Vista and Marina Del Rey in 2012 and 2013!

to enjoy a Parents' Night Out! That's right, Ms. Felicia and Ms. Sara, will
watch your kid(s) on Friday, April 25th from 6-9pm on the WISH campus
while you enjoy some quiet time to yourself, a date night or a night out
on the town! It's up to you how you want to spend your time, but know
that your kids will be having fun without you, playing with friends,
enjoying pizza and cupcakes, having a dance and Lego party! And once

on a movie, help them wind down and relax, so that they're ready to go straight to
